We took Joshua to the County Fair on Saturday. He had a few firsts and seemed to enjoy it. The weather was awful so we didn't stay very long. It was windy and rainy! Anyway, the first thing Joshua got to do was look at the animals in the petting zoo. He briefly touched a goat but just looked at everything else from a distance.

Then, he rode on a little train. We all thought he'd freak out and try to get out, but he didn't. He LOVED it!! He held on to the steering wheel and let the wind whip through his hair. It was really cute. After the train, we bought some delicious mini donuts-he could've eaten them all (well, so could I...but anyway). He also rode on the merry-go-round. I stood next to him to steady him on the horse. He liked it at first but then tried to get off of it. I ended up holding him for part of it. Joshua tried cotton candy for the first time and didn't like it. Lastly, he won his first carnival game. He had to choose a duck out of the "river" and the bottom of it said what he won. His
prize was a little red fish that he promptly put into the river with the ducks. It was pretty funny. It was cold and windy so we left to go out to dinner. Next year, he should be able to do a lot more.
What a fun time and what a handsome young boy!!!
