Jeremy's brother, John, flew out here from Alabama with his 6-year-old son for a visit. We haven't seen them for four years!! They are still here but plan on leaving tomorrow to head out to see some other family a few hours away. We've had a great time so far. Joshua LOVES playing with his cousin. Uncle Jim and Aunt Linda are also visiting right now which is a lot of fun.

By the way, the "muscle" picture is a family tradition. There are similar silly pictures of Jeremy, John and the other males in the family from just about every year. Joshua can show us his muscles normally, but was preoccupied by the bubbles we had been playing with. We might try again tomorrow. :)

John picked up this T-ball set for Joshua. Johnathen (Joshua's cousin) LOVES to play ball and his excitement has rubbed off on Joshua. Joshus's new favorite phrase is "play ball!!" He keeps wanting to hit left handed but he's throwing with his right. Interesting.

Groovefest

We went to the groovefest Friday night. We were there for two bands. We really liked the first one-will probably look into getting their CD. They are called The Packway Handle Band and have a bluegrass sound. Joshua LOVED them and danced a lot. He chowed on some good grub and had fun. Auntie Crystal bought this blow up snake for Joshua about halfway through the evening and that's all he was concerned with from that point on. He thought it was absolutely hilarious to pretend it was real and make hissing sounds with it at all of us.

Feeling Scrappy!!!

I know I've mentioned this site before, but I just wanted to give it a special blurb because I really do love it and know you will, too. It's a great site for online classes and a great message board!! The ladies on the board all love scrapping and crafting and are all very sweet. There are weekly and monthly challenges, games, chatting and everything in between. (I actually won last month's monthly page layout challenge!!! Check out my page on the home page listed below!!)

I'm taking my first class there this month and I'm having a BLAST. It's a ribbon class. We've learned numerous new ways to use ribbon, have supported each other in challenges and in learning these techniques, we've chatted about all things ribbon and many of us have won some fabulous prizes already!! I've had a TON of ribbon sitting around for years but have never really known how to use it until now (other than just tying it around something!). And there's still more for us to learn this month. Jayne really created an awesome curriculum with this class.

Next month is a Holiday Hustle card class, then some other classes coming up include journaling and sketches. Go check out the site and the message board- I promise you won't be sorry!!!

Drummer

I guess Joshua's preparing for the Groovefest tonight. He grabbed these legs that fell off of a tray and went into the pantry for some "drums" to play. Pretty creative if you ask me. :)

New Sketch

Here's a new sketch for you. :)

Some layouts from last week

In case I haven't mentioned it, I have separate albums for Joshua and for myself. I try to individualize the journaling and pics as much as possible. The idea is that when he's grown, he can have his albums and I'll still have mine to look at and enjoy. I'll be making three of most things pretty soon!! I finished up scrapping my birthday for our albums. I'm still a couple of months behind so I need to get caught up SOON. Just thought I'd share these with you.

Father's Day part 2

After the moving was done, the dads stopped for a minute to pose with their kids.

We had a nice dinner out at Chilis and went back to my parents' house for a few minutes.

Father's Day

Jeremy spent the first half of the day (and the previous two days) moving his dad out here. He's about 5 minutes away from us now. Here's a couple of moving photos. The guys really worked hard.

Calendar pages

Do you all add calendar pages to your scrapbooks? I love them! I keep one on the fridge all of the time to record the little things that happen in our daily lives. Teeth coming in, funny things Joshua says, things we do, places we go, friends we see, etc. Here's my latest one. I completed it for a challenge in the ribbon class I'm taking. That is such a FUN class. Not only do we learn new techniques, but we get all kinds of fun challenges to complete, games to play and prizes to win. I hope you will all have a chance to take a class through Feeling Scrappy. Next month is a great Christmas card class to get your cards done early. Check it out at feelingscrappy.com!!!

Another new page

Just finished this one. Joshua will be awake from his nap very soon so I doubt I'll get anything else done today.

Flower Power!

Ok, I made this sketch earlier today to find some inspiration for the Flower Power contest over at Feeling Scrappy:
Here's what I ended up creating for my entry. I made my own transparency to add on top of the page. I added flowers under and on top of the transparency as well as some stamped and hand painted elements. Anyway, hope you like it!!It was fun because I don't get to use flowers very often since I only have a little boy right now (that will change in a couple of months!!)

Here's a new sketch for you...I have pages with lots of pics coming up so that's where my mind is right now! You could always use some of the boxes for journaling or accents if you don't have a lot of pictures. I have another sketch I'm working on for the Flower Power contest at feelingscrappy.com and I'll post it when I finish. :) Have a great scrappy day!!

The Wiggles

I mentioned in another post that Joshua loves the Wiggles. He loves to sing and dance to their songs. It was really hard to get a video of him because when he'd see the camera, he'd immediately run over to see what I had taken a picture of. I was able to get this video eventually and it gives you the idea even if he's not at his best "performance!" This is Point Your Fingers and do the Twist-

On the Live Wiggles dvd, there's a part where one of the Wiggles falls asleep and everyone has to yell to wake him up. Joshua thinks it's hilarious and will pretend to fall asleep over and over so we can wake him up. He loves for us to pretend to fall asleep, too, and he'll yell, "Wake up, da!" (or ma!!) to wake us up. It's sooo funny. Oh, he's even done it with one of his stuffed toys-making it snore and then waking it up!! I laugh everytime. But after about 15-20 times it gets a little old and I really just want to stop. But he keeps going. Ha ha ha. Anyway, here he is:

Go!!

Joshua loves to be silly! He has these sunglasses he'll wear around the house sometimes. He thinks he's so cool with them on (even though they are usually upside down!!). He always makes a funny face when he wears them, too. He wasn't very interested in this walker when he was learning to walk but loves to push it around now. Anyway, I thought these were cute pictures of him. :)

Blue and red

I have so many pages that are blue and red!! I'm beginning to tire of those colors! Have you tried to look for good red patterned paper? It always has too many other colors on it as well or it's more of a pink. Anyway, looking through my photos for my next 10 pages or so, a majority of them will need red and blue paper as well. (Insert fainting smilie here!!!) I need to go buy more red paper!! (And red and blue ribbon for the online ribbon class I'm taking at Feeling Scrappy!!) Anyway, I started this page weeks ago and just never got the title put on...so here it is. Nothing fancy. I used sketches by Becky Fleck at pagemaps.com (LOVE her sketches!!).

Just trying to get back into a scrapping groove!! I plan to do a lot of it this month and next to completely catch up before Abigail is born!! Here's my first page I've completed in a while (seems like forever!!)-

The Entertainer!

I don't have any new photos to share, but I do have a little story. If you have spent any time with Joshua in the last few months, you know that he LOVES The Wiggles! He tries to sing their songs and he knows many of the dances they perform in their live concert video. He sings and dances in the car, around the house, and anywhere the urge hits him. It really doesn't matter if we have the music playing or not...he'll groove to his own beat. So anyway, we were in the post office and I was at the counter mailing a package. I look to my side and Joshua had dropped his toys (Silly Buddy and Lightning McQueen) and was singing and dancing for the crowd in line. He had the song and moves going (in high speed with key words only, of course)-I laughed and asked if he was entertaining everyone in line. He said yes. I looked over at the line and everyone was straight faced...not a smile anywhere. Come on people, lighten up. Ha ha. No one likes to wait in line at the post office, but wouldn't a cute performance by Joshua cheer ANYONE up???!! I really need to get his dancing on video one of these days.

Feet up!!

I'm itching to scrap today!! But we went on a long drive yesterday and my ankles are nice and swollen. Soooo, I'm sitting on the couch with my feet up playing on the computer instead. Actually, I'm going to try to plan out some scrapbook pages so I can get some things done next time I'm in the scrap room. :) Maybe I'll come up with a new sketch or two as well.

Here's why my ankles are swollen- Ha ha. Less than two months to go until my due date!!
