Scrappy area and a layout!

Well, it's a work in progress and will probably evolve as I work...but I have a basic area set up for scrapping and crafting! The racks may have to come down for awhile if Abby gets more grabby, but for the last couple of months, she has stuck to the decoy papers I have strategically placed at the bottom of the racks. She takes them off and waves them around while leaving my good stuff unharmed. SO FAR. We'll see. Anyway, here it is so far...


And here's my first layout in our new home. I created it to hang up on Abby's wall in a frame. :) I used a sketch by Jayne Jones that she posted as our challenge on Feeling Scrappy.

Setting up shop!

We're in our new house and I'm setting up my scrappy area today! Spent the last few days setting up the rest of the house so my scrappy area is overdue. I'll share a photo when it's finished. Even though we have two extra rooms, I am setting up in a nook in the main family area. I think I'll like it better than being alone in another room.

We made it!

Just a quick update-

We are all moved into our new home. My family was here over the weekend and it was sad to see them go. But they are only four hours away, so I know we will see them soon! And we can't wait to have the rest of the family and our friends come and visit soon!!

Things are chaotic around here. I have been a busy bee trying to unpack us and find a home for everything. I have been on my feet, up and down stairs all day since we have been here working. Busy, busy. But it's starting to look like home finally (but I still have a LOT of work to do!!). We are also realizing we are going to need to do more to the house than we originally thought-painting and small repairs. So we'll space all of that out and get it done eventually (I hope!! LOL).

Off to search for some kitchen organizers...

Mom's Day

I want to say to both of our moms that we love you very much and appreciate everything you have done for us!!!! You are wonderful!!!

We had a lovely dinner out at a local restaurant on Mother's Day. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera with me when we went to dinner so I didn't get a picture with my sister and mom. :( Jeremy snapped a couple of pics of me and the kids before we went out. Couldn't get one with both of them looking at the same time, though.

Bad blogger....

Sorry I have not been updating very often. We will be moving in less than two weeks and things have just been insanely busy. After we move and get settled, I will be back into my routine and will have time to scrap again! In the meantime, here's a layout I created a couple of weeks ago for Rachel's sketch challenge during the Scrap With Us at Feeling Scrappy. Hope you like it! (Feels like it's been months or more since I have scrapped!!!)

Crazy days

I think most of you know...but in case you don't, here's the scoop. We are selling our house and moving. Jer's been working in a software engineering position for a couple of months. We've been waiting for our house to sell before we could buy a new one and relocate about 4 hours north of where we are now. We will be closing the sale on our current home and on our new home at the end of the month. So I have less than three weeks to pack and get things in order. We are excited about Jer being able to work in this industry and he's loving every minute of it. But it is definitely going to be hard to leave all of our family and friends who are near us!!! Keep us in your thoughts during the next few weeks...they are going to be pretty crazy and busy. Thanks!!! :)

New Challenges and a layout to share...

We have some great new challenges posted today on the Feeling Scrappy message board. I posted a new Anything Goes challenge and a card challenge(brand new card sketch!). There's also a sketch challenge, word challenge, photo challenge, ad challenge and more!! I hope you'll join us over there this month. Lots of friendly faces and inspiration.
