Took a few photos of the kids yesterday...

We headed to a park to get some new photos yesterday.  I am hoping to get these up on the wall in the living room.  I had some I took last year and I never bought the frames.  Anyhow, I think these turned out pretty good.  Cute kids, if I do say so myself. :)

New trailer and first night out

We traded in our first trailer for one with better sleeping arrangements.  We have room to hang our feet off the edge of the bed and we have four bunks for the kids. We can also all sit at the dining table with the U-shaped dinette.  :)

I didn't get very many good photos of the inside...but you get the idea. :) Here are a few shots from our first night out in it.  We went to a local bay...even though it was pretty buggy (we knew that ahead of time!) since it was all that we could find last minute.  There is flooding and/or several feet of snow in many of the mountain areas still!!

Summer is coming!

It's been a looong time since I have updated this blog.  Sorry!  I have been so super busy and this has fallen to the bottom of the list.  We've been up to a lot over the last few months and we'll be up to even more with summer around the corner.

Joshua turned six and just finished his last soccer game of the season (he scored two goals this year!):

The kids got to welcome their new cousin, Jaylee, into the world:

Joshua learned to ride a bike without training wheels!

We've been to the park a few times already on warmer days:

Ellie has learned how to get into almost everything and loves to put on my lipstick when I am not looking (remember Abby's photo of the same thing??) She also has gotten into a habit of stripping herself naked any chance she gets!

And we've played lots of dress up, characters, practiced writing, reading and we'll be learning how to play the piano!

Abby has started to read as well...just a few words, but she's working on it and is excited about it!

Ellie turned one and Joshua started Kindergarten!

Well, the kiddos and my new scrapbooking website have kept me really busy lately.  Here are some pictures of Ellie when she turned one last week.
Good morning, sunshine!!  She's got her Silly Skip-it...can't sleep without him! (Well, she could, but she prefers to hold him when she goes to sleep.)

Grandma and Grandpa D. bought a swing set for the kids.  Thanks!! The birthday girl in her new swing-

In other fun news-

Joshua started Kindergarten today!!  I can't believe it! He has been waiting for this for a long time and has really been looking forward to going to school everyday. He already knows a few of the kids in his class from preschool and our neighborhood so he was excited about that.

July birthdays

We have two July birthdays in this house...and both on the same day! Abby was born on Jeremy's birthday.  Abby turned three this year. Lucky Jeremy got to celebrate his birthday FAIRY style.  (Abby's choice of course...did you think he wanted the Tinkerbell decorations? He he)
My parents and my beautiful sister came to help us celebrate.  Again, I was a slacker in the photo department and didn't get many photos...mostly just of the birthday boy and girl. Anyhow, here they are-Happy birthday!!

Father's Day weekend

We went down to stay at my parent's house over father's day weekend.  We had a lot of fun visiting and shopping.
Auntie Crystal has the cutest little puppies at her house right now that she is puppy-sitting. Joshua loved seeing them and also her cats (especially Weasly who used to live with us). Abby was a little scared of them but finally got close to one.

This one was taken on Crystal's cell phone...I never got a good one on my camera!

Joshua loved going in the jacuzzi (the heat was turned down of course!).  Ellie went in with Jeremy but she wasn't the happiest about it. A ride around the golf course is always fun in my parent's hot rod red golf cart. :)

Bannack State Park

We met up with one of my very best friends, Adonica, and her family in Montana at Bannack State Park.  None of us had ever heard of it, but it seemed interesting and was about halfway between us. There's a really neat old mining town and a couple of campgrounds right outside of it.  http://www.bannack.org/

It was a long drive made even longer with many stops for our almost potty-trained toddler. But it was really nice to see Adonica, Vince and Adrian and the town was fun to see. We panned for gold (didn't find gold but we did find several small garnets), toured the town, had a campfire, Joshua and Jeremy took some bike rides, and mostly visited with each other. Outside of the old town hotel:

Since it is a State Park, no one is allowed to actually pan for gold.  But to have a bit of the panning experience, a property owner from up the river brings in piles for park visitors to sift through. Apparently, there has been gold pulled out of the pile...we didn't find any though. :)

We were able to go inside many of the buildings.  Only a couple actually still had things in them which was neat to see.
