Pink is so much fun!

I've been scrapping so much with blues over the past two years that it's a lot of fun to get to use some pinks now. I know this page is a little early (it can't even be finished for three more months!!) but I really wanted to use some of these yummy new papers I bought. I made a sketch from it, too, for those of you who like sketches as much as I do. :)

Here's a sketch of a page I just completed. I used a layout from a magazine as inspiration but changed it up a lot. I'll post the layout I made as soon as I print out my journaling and take a picture of it.
Ok, here's my layout-

New site/board!!

I am super excited for a friend of mine, Jayne, who just started an awesome brand new scrappy site!! (I hope it's ok that I'm mentioning it here!!!) She's really creative and I've learned a lot from her. She's got all sorts of raks and contests going over the next week-go check it out!! Here's a link to where you can read all about it from her: http://feelinscrappy.blogspot.com/ Tell her I sent you!! :winky: Since I don't have anywhere local to learn about anything scrap related, I always look to my online friends for inspiration and ideas. I can't wait to see all the classes she has in store for us at her new site!!

Yes, another one.

I hadn't really intended to post so many sketches so quickly, I was just in a sketchy mood. :) I haven't used this one yet, but I probably will soon. I create a lot of pages with many photos on them so this would work well for that.

Another Sketch

I actually made this sketch after making the layout. It's a little funky, but I thought it was fun. Hope you like it. :)

Edited to add the layout I created:

Sketches

I love to use sketches when I scrapbook. I've drawn a few in my little idea book but haven't shared (or even used!) most of them. Here's one I did a few weeks ago. I'll try to pull out some more later.

Again

I've tried it before, but I'll try it again--I'm starting another scrapping blog. I think this would be the third time. Hopefully I'll stick with it this time. :) I love to scrap and I love to share ideas so the blog things seems perfect. I love to read scrappy blogs written by both friends and strangers online. Hopefully I can contribute a few more ideas in the sea of scrappy ideas on the www. Keep your fingers crossed that I stick with this. :)

Egg hunts galore!!

Joshua had three egg hunts this year! We went to one at our church, we had one at home and one at grandma's house. The first one was on Saturday at church. We had to show him what to look for. But once he found an egg, he just wanted to stop and open it right there to play with whatever was inside. So he only ended

up with three eggs. He had a blast, though. He also got to paint a small flower pot and plant a seed in it-messy but fun. On Sunday, Joshua woke up and found his first egg for the morning (see the wonderful bed head?). Inside, he found coins-he was amazed! Later, we went to grandma's house and had yet another egg hunt. He found cars in most of those eggs (I think cars are just about one of his favorite things!!). We had a great BBQ dinner including some fabulous potatoes that Crystal made in her Dutch Oven. (I really want to get one and learn to cook in a Dutch Oven!) It was a busy and fun weekend.

Silly boy!

Joshua decided he wanted to color while sitting on his slide. This looks sooo uncomfortable to me, but he loved it. So silly!

Joshua turns TWO!!!

My baby turned two yesterday. It was a fun and busy day. He was so into everything going on that I could NOT get him to look at me for any of the pictures. He was way too into his new bed, the toys and family that were here. We had Joshua's grandparents and Aunty Crystal and Uncle Tim over for pizza, presents and cake. Joshua wanted to play with each and every present so we had to keep him moving. His last present was from grandma and grandpa. It was a Thomas train set. Oh boy...he was sooo excited and wouldn't stop playing with it. He didn't even want to acknowledge anything we were saying to him. We got him into the bathtub and then he went right back to play with the trains (he ran out there naked for a minute then again after we wrangled him into his pjs!!) We finally got him to go to bed (in his new big boy toddler bed for the first time, by the way!) and he slept all night long. First thing he did this morning though was head straight to the train set to play some more. A little funny about his cake, too-He blew out the candle right as I set it down in front of him so no one got a photo of him blowing it out. So I relit it and it was out agian before I even blew out the match. So much for making a wish!! Ha ha. Here's a few pictures from last night.
