Layout and sketch

I posted a new sketch challenge on the Noteable forum. http://www.noteablekit.com/ I hope you'll join me in making a layout using it. I had fun using lots of goodies for the little blocks and circles. You could also use small photos.

This layout is for my album with pictures of Elizabeth on the day of her one month birthday. :)

Happy scrapping!

Some fun scrappy news

Shawna, the owner of Note~able Kits (http://www.noteablekit.com/) has asked me to be a part of her first design team! Note~able is a fairly new kit club focusing on titling and journaling products for scrapbook pages. I am excited to be a part of her team and look forward to working with the great kits she puts together.

She is now accepting pre-orders for the October Kit and add-on which you can view on the message board (http://www.noteablekit.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=49)

**PLUS, everything in the store is now on sale! (Except the September Kit.) Here is a link to the store- http://www.noteablekit.com/shop/

I hope you'll check out these great kits and stop in to say hello on the message board! I plan on adding a new challenge very soon to spark your creativity. :)

Menu Planning Monday!

Well, after a couple of weeks of failed meal planning, I decided that I need to have crock pot meals EVERYDAY! Seriously, it is the only way dinner is going to get made in this household for a while. At least until Elizabeth makes things a little easier on me. I can start the crock pot anytime that I can actually put her down long enough to get a few things thrown in there and cook on high or low depending on the time of day. (Oh, and they have to be EASY CP recipes!)Soooo...here's the plan that I can hopefully stick to.

Monday- Burritos with CP pork chili verde (a pork roast with green enchilada sauce, green chilis, cumin, garlic and a few other seasonings...I generally wing it) and beans
Tuesday- Pasta and meatballs (frozen meatballs in the CP with some jar spag. sauce)
Wednesday- CP White chicken chili and rice
Thursday- CP Taco Soup
Friday- CP Sesame pork ribs (new recipe), rice and carrots
Saturday- CP BBQ chicken (just chicken with bottled BBQ sauce), mac and cheese, green beans Sunday- Frozen skillet meal (gourmet, huh?)

*For more menu ideas, visit www.orgjunkie.com

Taco Soup- crock pot

You can make this on the stove top but I usually use the crock pot so it is ready whenever we are.
Taco Soup
1 package dry ranch dressing (1/4 cup)
1 package taco seasoning (1/4 cup)
½ -1 lb ground beef-browned and drained
1 can corn
1 can pinto beans
1 can black beans
1 can diced tomatoes

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in big pot and simmer for at least an hour. Or cook all day in a crock pot. Serve with shredded cheese, chips and sour cream.

White Chicken Chili- crock pot

White Chicken Chili- Crock pot
1 can great northern beans-drained
1-2 chicken breasts
1 small can of diced green chilis
3 cups chicken broth
2 tsp cumin
½ tsp oregano
1 tsp chili power
2-4 garlic cloves chopped
1 cup chopped onion
Add all ingredients and cook all day on low. Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream. Chopped cilantro is good on it, too. Serve alone or over rice.

**Sometimes I add some corn to this and I usually add a couple TBS of instant tapioca to thicken it an hour or so before eating.

Little Monsters

Little monsters? Not my children...they are perfect angels all of the time (wink wink). This kit is too cute with the little monsters in it! And of course, I love that it has tons of journaling products and letters in it! Two of my favorite things. :)

The best part is that I won it! I can't wait to get it. I am sure I will find a way to use it. ;) Shawna has two of these kits left so if you have little monsters in your life, go grab it while you can!http://www.noteablekit.com/ (Click on Shopping)

She just posted another contest on the site's message board so I hope you will check it out! It's all about hand journaling.
