The Sew Scrappy class on Feeling Scrappy is starting in a few days! We have a ton of fun ideas, assignments, challenges and tips in store for you in the class. It's all about using fabrics, floss, buttons and other notions on your scrapbook pages. Check it out and sign up HERE. I hope to see you in class!!
I also have been making some pages with my TOTALLY AWESOME Paper Popsicles August Busy Body kit...such a fun kit! I've used most of it up already! But most of the pages are for the Sew Scrappy class so you'll have to take the class to see them. Also got my new September kit in the mail today and I am in love!!! 2 Sketches 4 You card
Here's my entry for this week's 2 Sketches 4 You blog. I love their card sketches and I get so much inspiration from the ladies who design cards and post their cards in the comments. I used my August Busy Body kit and dew drops from Paper Popsicles plus some flowers I had in my stash. I hope you like it!

Not for the faint of heart! Peanut butter popcorn!
Peanut Butter Popcorn....yuuuuummmm!!!!

I should vow never to make this again. But I don't think I have that much willpower!! I will try cutting the butter way down next time, though. Maybe 1/4 cup or less. I also made my own popcorn on the stove instead of micro popcorn and added some popcorn salt. Anyway, this is supposed to be for dessert tonight (if it lasts that long!!!) I am throwing it into the oven at 200 for a few minutes to crisp it up some. I hope I don't ruin it! It's just a little gooey now. I think it would be fine if we were eating it immediately but since I am TRYING to save most of it for tonight, it needs to crunch up a little. :) Here's the recipe if you are interested. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Peanut-Butter-Popcorn/Detail.aspx

Menu Planning Monday

So most of you who know me know that I love to plan (I have to plan everything!!!!) and I love to cook (and eat!). I've been stalking a blog that does menu planning every week. While I've been planning my own meals, I have yet to share on the blog so this will be my first week sharing. :) We're eating out of our pantry and from stuff we already have on hand this week. I'll post links to some of the recipes. :)
Monday- Black bean soup and home fries
Tuesday- Ultimate Grilled Cheese(we might use the filling as a quesadilla filling instead) and green beans
Wednesday- Potato soup (see below) and garlic muffins (I can't remember where I got this recipe!!)
Thurday- Chicken burrito soup (New recipe for me) with tortilla strips
Friday-Sunday we might be out of town so nothing planned.
Jayne shared this recipe with me!
Potato Soup
1 30 oz bag of frozen hash browns
2 can chicken broth
1 pkg McCormicks Country Gravy
Brown hash browns in Pam, add chicken broth. Prepare gravy as directed and add to soup. Simmer.
**I add some extra spices and goodies to this. But it's a super easy and yummy soup just as it is!

RVing!
Yep, we've joined the RV club. (No, not really an official club. You know what I mean. LOL) We've tossed the idea around for awhile and decided just to go for it. We went and bought a travel trailer and took it out for a practice run yesterday. We camped at Antelope Island State Park. It was a lot of work to prep for it but it went pretty well. We have a list of things we need to do to make it a bit more user/kid friendly and some things we need the RV dealer to fix. We look forward to many years of camping and trips in this baby. :)

A couple of layouts
Here's another page I made for the Paper class at Feeling Scrappy.

And here's a layout I created for Rachel's What's the Word challenge on the Feeling Scrappy Message Board. The word for the month is "you." I had some fun doodling a bit and using my CTMH watercolor pencils.

I also received my Paper Popsicles August kit a couple of days ago!! I can't wait to break it open and play!! Fun stuff. And some great news on the kits there...you no longer have to sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month membership...you can just buy a kit anytime without any obligation!! The kits there are awesome and are a great deal!
Have a great Sunday!!
